Job description

Short Description

As an Internal Auditor at Allegro, you will join a team that supports key assurance and compliance processes across the Allegro Group. You will focus on verifying key indicators for ESG reporting and perform both operational and financial audits across our business units. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in auditing or controlling who is ready to dive into diverse projects and collaborate with stakeholders across Central and Eastern Europe.

What does this role involve:

  • Executing operational and financial internal audits across Allegro Group’s operations, including interviews, control testing, evidence gathering and documentation
  • Verifying indicators for ESG reporting – you don’t need to know ESG already, but you must understand verification and control procedures
  • Preparing audit work papers in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards (2025)
  • Assessing the design and effectiveness of internal controls, identifying both gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Working with business partners to assess audit findings and develop action plans to mitigate risk
  • Communicating findings clearly and constructively, including drafting audit reports for senior management
  • Monitoring implementation of post-audit recommendations
  • Collaborating with IT auditors and leveraging their expertise when needed

We are looking for people who:

  • Have curious minds and are true team players, people who aren’t afraid to ask questions, dig deep, and flag what doesn’t look right
  • Have 2 years of experience in internal or financial auditing or controlling (Big4 or listed company experience preferred)
  • Are familiar with financial, accounting and reporting processes (including IFRS)
  • Understand control procedures and how to verify data
  • Are proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel and open to learning new tools
  • Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Are comfortable working independently
  • Speak Polish fluently
  • Have strong English skills (B2/C1)
  • Are ready to travel occasionally (5–10%)

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with ESG concepts
  • Knowledge of any of the following languages: Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Slovenian, Croatian
  • Experience with ICFR tasks
  • Certifications such as CIA or ACCA (or willingness to obtain)
  • Familiarity with SAP or SQL

What we offer:

  • We invest in your development. Depending on your role in the team, we provide relevant training and support - whether that’s CIA, CISA or other certifications aligned with your work. Your growth matters to us.
  • A hybrid work model. Well-located offices (with fully equipped kitchens and bicycle parking facilities) and excellent working tools (height-adjustable desks, interactive conference rooms)
  • A wide selection of fringe benefits in a cafeteria plan – you choose what you like (e.g. medical, sports or lunch packages, insurance, purchase vouchers)
  • English classes that we pay for related to the specific nature of your job
  • Work in a team you can always count on – we have on board top-class specialists and experts in their areas of expertise
