About the team

 

The salary range for this position is PLN 14 200 - 19 690 in gross terms (contract of employment, tax-deductible cost)

A hybrid work model requires 1 day a week in the office.

 

In the Consumer area, we pursue the best possible customer experience, starting from main site visits, through browsing, searching and comparing listings, to the purchasing process and post-purchase services on all platforms (web, mobile web, iOS and Android). We are responsible for external traffic that involves thousand of requests per second. We have hundreds of millions of records in our database, microservice architecture on the back-end, and micro-frontends.

We conduct dozens of experiments, test hundreds of variants, analyse results and draw conclusions that we convert into specific tasks. We systematically take care of the fast and smooth operations of our sites. We monitor and solve issues related to efficiency, developing an optimum code to provide clients with the best user experience at Allegro.

We have nearly 30 teams made up of engineers that have various skills. We also cooperate with designers, researchers and analysts.

Your main responsibilities:

 

Join our Frontend Platform team and help shape the future of development at Allegro! We are responsible for creating tools that empower over 50 product teams to build mobile and web screens seamlessly. Our mission is to enhance the developer experience by providing a unique and cutting-edge rendering platform, robust testing infrastructure, and process automation. 

What you’ll work on:

  • Developing and maintaining the MBox and Opbox components
  • Working on an exciting greenfield project aimed at consolidating these systems into a unified rendering experience
  • Building tools improving developer experience and efficiency
  • Supporting developers through daily consultations and maintaining active communication in support channels.

This is the right job for you if:

 

  • Have a very good knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, React and Node.js / NPM ecosystem
  • Are proficient in responsive web design (HTML, CSS)
  • Know and have worked in production environments with TypeScript
  • Have experience with unit testing (we use Jest) and E2E testing (Cypress)
  • Open to learning and collaborating closely on mobile apps and backend technologies (including Generative AI)
  • Think outside the box and have a broad perspective on their work
  • Want to be proud of the code they write. Are open to feedback and are willing to share their knowledge during code reviews
  • Can search for efficient solutions to meet users’ requirements
  • Are eager to continuously develop their skills and update their knowledge
  • Know English at B2 level or higher
