In the Consumer domain, we create and maintain customer-facing applications that help millions of clients each day to complete their purchases. We carefully craft, test, and deliver complex, high-performance solutions to provide a fast, reliable, and engaging customer experience.

This is the right job for you if:

  • Have a very good knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, React and Node.js
  • Are proficient in responsive web design (HTML, CSS)
  • Know and have worked in production environments with TypeScript
  • Have experience with unit testing (we use Jest) and E2E testing (Cypress, Playwright)
  • Open to learning and collaborating closely on mobile apps and backend technologies (including Generative AI)
  • Think outside the box and have a broad perspective on their work
  • Want to be proud of the code they write. Are open to feedback and are willing to share their knowledge during code reviews
  • Can search for efficient solutions to meet users’ requirements
  • Are eager to continuously develop their skills and update their knowledge
  • Know English at B2 level or higher
  • Familiarity with component-driven Design System principles and utility-first CSS (e.g., Atomic CSS) is a plus

In your daily work you will handle the following tasks:

  • Creating high-quality code using React technologies and Vanilla JS
  • Developing new components for the New Design System in line with the Future Vision strategy, and ensuring their compliance with the European Accessibility Act
  • Preparing tools and strategies for a smooth migration from the existing to the new Design System
  • Managing complex problems within the team's scope
  • Escalating risks, proposing and agreeing on mitigation measures
  • Managing technical debt related to the team's responsibilities and dependencies
  • Providing expertise in frontend engineering
  • Working with high-complexity Opbox and MBox architectures, reducing technical debt, and ensuring platform stability

What's in it for you:

  • Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work.
  • Well-located offices (with e.g. fully equipped kitchens, bicycle parking, terraces full of greenery) and excellent work tools (e.g., raised desks, ergonomic chairs, interactive conference rooms).
  • A 16" or 14" MacBook Pro or corresponding Dell with Windows (if you don't like Macs) and all the necessary accessories.
  • A wide selection of fringe benefits in a cafeteria plan - you choose what you like (e.g., medical, sports or lunch packages, insurance, purchase vouchers).
  • English classes that we pay for related to the specific nature of your job.
  • A training budget, inter-team tourism (see more here), hackathons, and an internal learning platform where you will find multiple trainings.
  • An additional day off for volunteering, which you can use alone, with a team, or with a larger group of people connected by a common goal.
  • Social events for Allegro people - Spin Kilometers, Family Day, Fat Thursday, Advent of Code, and many other occasions we enjoy.

And that's just the beginning! You can read more about the benefits here.

  • You will become part of Allegro Tech - We speak at industry conferences, cooperate with tech communities, run our own blog (it's been over 10 years!), record podcasts, lead guilds, and we organize our own internal conference - the Allegro Tech Meeting.
