Junior Test Automation Engineer

Your main responsibilities:
- Check tasks within the scope of own team.
- Focus on functional tests for one product area.
- Write new automated test scenarios using an existing codebase.
- Maintain automated tests stability by debugging and fixing own code.
- Reach out to other teams, when they affect your tests stability
- Identify tests flakiness reasons and discuss approach with the team.
- Take active part during team meetings, especially retrospectives.
- Advocate for the user by putting yourself in their shoes and understanding their needs, challenges, and goals.
- Test features within a well-known domain using previously prepared test/development environments.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with others, with work being transparent to the team.
- Share information about test cases, environment settings, and testing strategies with the team.
- Report bugs and retest them, providing all necessary information.
- Maintain awareness of technical debt in owned repositories and contribute to the backlog with proposals for reduction.
- Handle testing on a single platform, including both manual and automated tests.
- Learn design and UX guidelines for the specific technology and incorporate them into testing procedures.
- Learn accessibility issues and try to include them in testing procedures.
This is the right job for you if:
- You are very familiar with test automation tools, e.g. Postman, SoapUI.
- You are experienced in working with the GIT version control system and establishing CI/CD pipelines.
- You have the ability to prepare test and functional documentation.
- You are skilled in log analysis.
- You can combine facts and present conclusions in an orderly and logical way.
- You show high level of cooperation, responsibility, problem solving, openness to change and drive to develop.
- You have a positive attitude towards teamwork and at the same time can work independently.
- You demonstrate enthusiasm for work and commitment to accomplishing tasks.
- You speak English at least at B2 level.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of ISTQB.
- Experience or willingness to develop in the BigData area.
