Allegro’s development teams consist of over 1700 IT experts with various areas of specialization who collaborate to enhance our service. Due to the unique scale and complexity of the challenges we tackle each day, we have the opportunity to advance by engaging in a wide range of projects. We’re seeking a manager for our “Design System” development team, which every frontend developer at Allegro utilizes. Significant changes are ahead in how Allegro appears and behaves for users, so if you’re interested in creating scalable UI code and leveraging AI in design and development processes, join us!
Your main responsibilities:
- Drive the development of Development Environments: You’ll have the opportunity to work on a unique product with high complexity, scale and impact on Allegro development teams.
- Make a Real-World Impact: Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of Allegro, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for millions of users. You'll be a guardian of uptime, ensuring that Allegro's systems run smoothly 24/7.

This is the right job for you if:
- You have a strong programming foundation: You're proficient in Java and/or Kotlin and you can apply your coding skills to develop custom solutions, automate tasks, and integrate with existing systems.
- You have database skills: You're comfortable working with various databases like Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis, and you can use this knowledge to monitor database performance and health.
- You have basic Ops skills: You have basic skills in Puppet and writing scripts (bash, Python, Go) and can apply it in practice to automate hosts management and monitoring.
- You value engineering best practices: You advocate for clean code, code review, TDD, and CI/CD to ensure the quality and maintainability.
- You thrive in a collaborative environment: You're a team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. You're eager to share your knowledge and learn from others. You are comfortable collaborating closely with other teams and exploring new technologies.).
