Software Engineer 1 (Go) - Technical Platform
Poznań, PL, 61-569
About the job:
We are seeking a talented and open-minded Junior Software Engineer to join our Tech Platform team. You won't just be vibing the code for the sake of it; you'll be a key contributor to a high-performance L7 platform designed to process hundreds of thousands of requests per second. The team develops custom antibot solutions that protect all Allegro traffic and manages the HTTP cache, the secret sauce that enables operations at an international scale.
Your mission? To protect Allegro against bad actors with ultra low latency and high precision. You’ll also get a unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of HTTP caching, reverse proxies, and routing. The team's craftsmanship on these components is vital for mastering application-layer traffic, supercharging platform responsiveness, and ensuring bulletproof resilience while routing requests with surgical precision. Our engine is fueled by k8s, one of the most massive platforms in the region, where every tool we build is cloud-native and designed to scale to the moon. If you're itching to see your work impact millions of users in real time, you've found the right place.
Important things for you:
-
Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work.
-
The salary range for this position depending on the skill set is as follows (contract of employment, tax-deductible cost):

PLN 11 200 - 15 250
-
Annual bonus based on your annual performance and company results.

Our team is based in Poznań.
We are looking for people who have:

A basic understanding of the Go language (or the drive to master it fast, especially if they have a feel for statically typed languages and a passion for building high-performance systems)
-
A solid background in core programming concepts and an understanding of how software architecture fits together
-
Familiarity with REST, JSON, and Microservices the building blocks of the modern web
-
A working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
-
A hunger for work with deeper meaning; not just chasing a checklist of tasks, but owning results and seeing the "why" behind the "what"
-
A relentless drive to challenge themselves: ready to sharpen technical skills, participate in design sessions, and even challenge senior colleagues during code reviews (because we value fresh perspectives!)
-
English at a B2 level, enabling effective global collaboration
Nice to have:
-
It’s a massive win if you’ve already navigated Web Application Firewalls or mastered why caching is the secret sauce behind high-performance systems
-
You bring a DevOps mindset and a hunger to understand how k8s functions under the hood; an interest in deploying and optimizing k8s workloads
-
Experience with version control (particularly git) and a flair for collaborative engineering
-
Python skills, essential for maintaining our automation tools and legacy services
-
A solid grasp of Unix concepts and commands to navigate our environment with precision
What's in it for you:
