Contractor Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist (Slovak)

Role Description:

We are part of Allegro. As a Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist you will be involved in the Translation Quality Assurance (TQA) program enabling the expansion of Allegro.pl services into the foreign markets.

Your main responsibilities:

• Reviewing and evaluating translated content, performing translation quality assessment
• Providing feedback to translators based on quality reports
• Identifying, documenting and correcting localization errors
• Creating and updating style guides, glossaries and other common guidelines
• Ensuring translation consistency in accordance with the language-specific guidelines
• Translation, proofreading and status update of translated projects
• Performing translation quality assessment and other data annotation for data in local languages and preparing annotation quality reports
• Machine translation error verification, creating and applying fixes
• Consulting on quality control tools and machine learning systems development
• Collecting requirements to prepare recommendations for localization of various content types
• Gathering internal know-how to improve the quality of provisioned services

We are looking for people with:

• Native or C2 knowledge of Slovak
• English C1 level
• Polish B1 level
• Experience using CAT Tools
• At least 2 years translation experience

The following are also a plus:

• Degree in Linguistics/Translation/Localization or related fields
• Ability to use metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes
• Experience with python scripting and text processing libraries
• Basic knowledge of regular expressions
• Ability to invent and simplify to enhance and expand use of existing tools, evaluating new tools and technologies for future development
• Experience in Marketing, creative writing
