Job Description

Join the Partner Experience Data & AI team and help us build modern, data-driven solutions that scale our partners' growth!

We are a cross-functional data team bringing together Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Analysts. Our mission is to push boundaries by infusing innovation, classical ML, and generative AI into everyday business operations. We turn complex data into intelligent, production-ready solutions - combining predictive modeling, causal inference, and generative AI to deliver actionable insights that directly empower our business teams, partner advisors and platform touchpoints.

What will your job involve?

  • End-to-End Lifecycle Modeling: Co-creating ML models across the complete Partner lifecycle—from activation and growth potential evaluation to churn prevention - giving you a broad, bird’s-eye view of Allegro’s Partners without being boxed into a narrow niche.

  • Causal AI & Next Best Action for Partner Growth: Building scalable Recommendation Systems that drive product adoption and partner expansion through incremental uplift modeling.

  • GenAI & Agentic Systems: Bridging predictive ML with LLM orchestrations and AI Agents to build autonomous, actionable recommendations for sellers and internal business teams.

  • Cross-Functional Product Collaboration: Working hand-in-hand within a hybrid team of Data Engineers, Product Analysts, Developers, and Product Managers to build scalable data products.

  • Accelerated Growth & Mentorship: Collaborating directly with a highly senior team, giving you the space to bounce ideas off experienced peers, experiment with new technologies, and rapidly level up your skills as a Mid-level DS.

  • Full Ownership & Experimentation: Participating in the complete project lifecycle - from translating business needs into ML frameworks and setting up A/B experiments to seeing your models deployed into real-world production.

Why should you work with us?

  • Data Science plays a key role in the operation of Allegro - we are a data-driven technology company, and through the models and analyses provided you will have a significant impact on one of the largest eCommerce platforms in the world

  • You will have a possibility of developing AI tools from prototypes to large production solutions that will have real impact on our users, partners and employees. Thanks to the wide range of projects we carry out, you will never run out of interesting challenges

  • Support of experienced Data Scientists - there is always someone to exchange ideas with, because we have the best specialists and experts in their field on board

  • You will have access to huge data sets and the latest data processing technologies

  • You will have the opportunity to learn the tools and technologies in practice:
Python, GCP environment (BigQuery, VertexAI, Cloud Composer, Dataflow), Airflow, LMM models

  • You will learn good programming, engineering and code management practices

  • You will be part of large-scale initiatives by proactively proposing and developing solutions, rather than simply executing predefined tasks

  • We share our knowledge at industry conferences and trainings, we are an active participant and co-creator of the Data Science / Machine Learning community in Poland and in the world

You’ll be a great fit if you bring:

  • Proven SQL & Python Mastery - You have extensive hands-on experience with Big Data. Python is your go-to tool (Pandas, scikit-learn, SHAP,  XGBoost, CatBoost and other gradient boosting and segmentation algorithms), and writing complex, optimized SQL queries across massive seller data marts is second nature to you.

  • End-to-End CRISP-DM Mindset - You take full ownership of the ML lifecycle. You excel at translating real-world business challenges into ML problems, building predictive models and driving them all the way through deployment and continuous monitoring.

  • Experimentation & A/B Testing - You have practical experience designing, setting up, and statistically evaluating A/B tests to measure true business impact and validate model performance before rollout.

  • Great Communication & Business Acumen - You naturally bridge the gap between technical and business teams. You are skilled at participating in the full project lifecycle and explaining complex model outcomes to stakeholders in a clear, actionable way.

  • A Relevant Quantitative Background -  You hold a degree in a quantitative field (such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics) OR have equivalent, solid hands-on experience in Data Science and Machine Learning roles.

  • Language Proficiency: Speak English and Polish at a B2+ level or higher

Bonus points if you have:

  • Cloud Platform Experience: Hands-on experience building and running data science solutions in cloud environments (preferably GCP).

  • MLOps & Pipeline Orchestration: Practical knowledge of deploying models into production using orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or dbt.

  • GenAI & LLM Integration: Hands-on experience programmatically leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI to build smart, automated applications.

What's in it for you:

  • Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work.

  • Long term discretionary incentive plan based on Allegro.eu shares (restricted stock units).

  • Annual bonus based on your annual performance and company results.

  • Well-located offices (with e.g. fully equipped kitchens, bicycle parking, terraces full of greenery) and excellent work tools (e.g., raised desks, ergonomic chairs, interactive conference rooms).

  • A 16" or 14" MacBook Pro or corresponding Dell with Windows (if you don't like Macs) and all the necessary accessories.

  • A wide selection of fringe benefits in a cafeteria plan - you choose what you like (e.g., medical, sports or lunch packages, insurance, purchase vouchers).

  • English classes that we pay for related to the specific nature of your job.

  • A training budget, inter-team tourism (see more here), hackathons, and an internal learning platform where you will find multiple trainings.

  • An additional day off for volunteering, which you can use alone, with a team, or with a larger group of people connected by a common goal.

  • Social events for Allegro people - Spin Kilometers, Family Day, Fat Thursday, Advent of Code, and many other occasions we enjoy.

And that's just the beginning! You can read more about the benefits here.
