Senior Manager, Data

We are looking for a person that cooperates with senior managers to ensure data consistency, facilitate data analysis and use data to improve products and services in a given area. Senior Manager, Data will be responsible for building and implementing a short and long-term data development strategy for the area in line with the product development strategy and organizational goals. At the same time focusing on optimizing and automating data processing and analysis processes, which allows the company to respond faster to changing customer needs and dynamic market conditions.
Your main responsibilities:

Hiring, leading and developing data leaders/managers to execute data vision and to ensure that the product portfolio serves the most impactful customer needs

Managing a small team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers directly

Working on different (Heuristics and ML) models through team that impact allegro Product Catalog Quality (like reducing duplicates or miss-categorization of products)

Work closely with different Business, Product and Technology teams to improve value of products for customers and partners by providing high quality data inputs

Identifying areas of innovation and finding ways to use new technologies to improve processes and results

Fostering the creation of an Analytics community across Allegro (incl. Products Analytics, Commercial Analytics, AI, Operations Analytics, Marketing Analytics Teams) and ensures aligned standards across Allegro

Cooperating with AI Product Development and Big Data Area to improve the quality of processes and the effectiveness of tools used in analytics

Initiating and supervising strategic projects to achieve ambitious business and product goals in the next 2-3 years and beyond

Defining and recommending meaningful, well defined KPIs and metrics, both in terms of product, business values and technical aspects of them

Providing descriptive and diagnostics analytics (what happen and why did it happen) and performing predictive and prescriptive analytics (what is likely to happen and what should be done)

Securing a budget and resources for the team based on a clear value proposition
Role requirements:
- Technology-Centric Role: Deep involvement in technological aspects with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and implementation
- Hands-On Modeling Expertise: Ability to build initial models independently and maintain strong technical proficiency in connecting various data work models
- Proficient Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in SQL, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML)
- Technical Execution Focus: Emphasis on technical execution and implementation, with a foundational understanding of business needs. Less emphasis on extensive business interaction
- Experience with Critical Projects: Proven experience or capacity to contribute to key projects such as catalogue monitoring and duplicate reduction
- Collaborative Approach: Ability to work closely and effectively with merchant technology teams
- Strong Data Technology Experience: Significant experience in various data technologies
