Senior Manager, Product & Engineering

Your main responsibilities:
- Drive business outcomes by leveraging a deep understanding of the e-commerce industry and business KPIs.
- Account for the business impact and ROI of products and secure necessary funding based on a clear value proposition.
- Build and shape a long-term product and engineering strategy (e.g., a three-year plan).
- Lead product managers, managers, or senior managers of multiple engineering and data science teams to solve key business problems.
- Drive the implementation of complex, cross-functional projects from start to launch.
- Account for the long-term architectural roadmap of the product domain.
- Provide clarity of thought by simplifying complex problems and translating them into clear KPIs, frameworks, and recommendations.
- Manage and develop a direct leadership team, fostering collaboration and resolving conflict.
- Build a network with peers to identify opportunities for collaboration and proactively manage even the most senior stakeholders.
- Exhibit an outstanding level of communication, creating a positive and open atmosphere across departments.
- Make the right judgment calls in strategic decisions, even when data is sparse.
- Contribute to the company's long-term strategy and regularly challenge your product scope to identify new opportunities.
- Improve the end-to-end product development process by collaborating with various technology disciplines.
- Actively shape the Allegro product and engineering community through mentoring, recruiting, and developing best practices.
This is the right job for you if:
- You have the ability to work with numbers (sizing, Business cases, etc.)
- You are experienced in managing multiple teams
- You have structured way of working
- You have an ability to think strategically
- You have the ability to work in a large organization and effectively collaborate across departments
- Effective, highly communicative oral and written skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- You have knowledge of the logistics industry or the specifics of eCommerce deliveries (nice to have)
- You have working backwards methodology (nice to have)
