Job Description

The Program and Portfolio Management (PPM) team is the strategic compass of Allegro Tech. We bridge the gap between high-level business goals and technical execution, ensuring our resources always focus on Allegro's most critical priorities.

As the "powerhouse" behind Allegro’s growth, we use data-driven insights and flexible methodologies to navigate constraints and lead large-scale initiatives. Our aim is to transform strategy into reality, maintaining Allegro’s position as a leader in the e-commerce space.

As the Senior Manager of Strategic Program and Portfolio Management within Technology, you are the architect of Allegro’s execution engine. Reporting directly to the Directorl under the CTPO, you are responsible for transforming high-level business strategy into a roadmap of actionable, high-impact business and technical initiatives. You lead a specialized team of Strategic Program Managers to ensure that Allegro Business and Tech operates with maximum transparency, efficiency, and alignment with our global marketplace goals.

Your main responsibilities:

  • PPM Scaling in the Product Operating Model: Design and scale state-of-the-art frameworks that integrate seamlessly with Allegro’s Product Operating Model to drive organizational agility.

  • Automation & Agentic PPM: Replace manual PMO orchestration with autonomous AI agents and automated workflows for intake, risk, and reporting, boosting operational velocity across engineering teams.

  • Strategic Intake & Prioritization: Working with our Portfolio Senior Manager, own the end-to-end "funnel," applying data-driven prioritization to ensure engineering resources are focused on the highest-value strategic growth initiatives.

  • Operational Transparency: Establish a comprehensive reporting ecosystem that eliminates "information islands," providing leadership with a unified "single source of truth" for all strategic tech programs.

  • Execution Excellence: Proactively manage cross-program dependencies, constraints, and risks to optimize delivery speed, overall portfolio health, and time-to-market.

  • Technical Oversight & Strategy: Leverage product &  technical expertise to bridge the gap between business goals and engineering, providing meaningful insight during complex architectural and technical discussions.

  • People Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of 6 Program Managers and collaborate with external contractors, maturing the PPM discipline and fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the primary interface between Technology Excellence and global business units to steer flagship programs like AI Transformation and Reimagined Marketplace.

This is the right job for you if you have:

  • Proven Track Record: Experience building a Portfolio Management function from the ground up in a large-scale, modern technology organization.

  • Product & Technical Fluency: Ability to engage deeply with product & engineers on topics like Cloud infrastructure, AI implementation, and New shopping and selling journey.

  • Methodology Expertise: Mastery of mixed methodologies (Agile, Lean, Waterfall) and the ability to adapt them to a fast-paced "Tech Vision."

  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to navigate senior leadership levels (CTPO/Tech Excellence) to drive consensus and strategic clarity.

What we offer:

  • Annual bonus based on your performance and company results.
  • Long term discretionary incentive plan based on Allegro.eu shares (restricted stock units).
  • A great learning opportunity, working with people coming from a lot of experience in top tier strategy consulting and e-commerce space.
  • Well-located offices (with e.g., fully equipped kitchens, bicycle parking, terraces full of greenery) and excellent work tools (e.g., raised desks, ergonomic chairs, interactive conference rooms).
  • A wide selection of fringe benefits in a cafeteria plan - you choose what you like (e.g., medical, sports or lunch packages, insurance, purchase vouchers).
  • English classes that we pay for related to the specific nature of your job.
  • A training budget, inter-team tourism and an internal learning platform where you will find multiple trainings.
  • An additional day off for volunteering, which you can use alone, with a team, or with a larger group of people connected by a common goal.
  • Social events for Allegro people - Spin Kilometers, Family Day, Fat Thursday, and many other occasions we enjoy.
