Job description

Your main responsibilities:

  • Monitor legislative and non-legislative proposals from the sustainability, ESG, product-related field at the EU level as well as monitor implementations of EU acts in Poland and the CEE region

  • Prepare comprehensive analyses, reports and memos explaining how the new proposed legislation will affect Allegro Group Companies in Poland and the CEE region. 

  • Engage in the legislative process through participation in the working groups of  business and trade organizations, both at the national and EU level. 

  • Prepare briefing documents, talking points and presentations related to legislative proposals and initiatives from the area described above for internal stakeholders. 

  • Prepare comprehensive briefing documents for the EU Regulatory Affairs team. 

  • Map relevant business units within the Allegro Group which may be affected by new legislation and proactively collect feedback from them for the purpose of preparing Allegro's input to position papers of business organizations engaging in the legislative process. 

  • Work with external advisors, including consultancies and law firms, to gather most relevant and up-to-date information and intelligence on relevant legislative files. 

  • Provide analytical support during the implementation phase of EU legislative acts in the areas ennumerated above. 

  • Support Allegro's priority of ensuring a level playing field for EU and non-EU players on the domestic market, providing analytical insights for domestic market dynamics.

 

Note that the CEE region is understood as CZ, SK, HU for the purposes of this job announcement. 

 

This is the right job for you if:

  • You have a master’s degree in Law 

  • You have 3+ years experience in a similar position

  • You understand the PL & EU legislative process

  • You have practical knowledge of sustainability & ESG laws as well as product law

  • Former experience in public administration, NGOs, or academia (relevant field) is an advantage 

  • You are comfortable with working with multiple stakeholders, you enjoy contributing to analyses and inputs for the purpose of EU stakeholder outreach,and 

  • You are excited about our expansion in CZ, SK, and HU

  • You enjoy participating in working groups within business organizations and international working groups

  • You have a minimum C1 level in English

  • You communicate clearly and effectively

  • You are flexible and adaptable

  • You are reliable

  • You have experience with the legislative process and analysis of legal proposals

  • You are open for business travels
